Halloween tomorrow!

If your 5th grader wants to pass out a treat please send it in with them in the morning. Treats will get passed out before our final afternoon recess.

Tomorrow we will be learning Halloween science and students will have a decoration to bring home!

This week’s spelling words and weekly letter

Please be sure your 5th grader is sharing their weekly letter with you, asking you to sign it, and putting it back in their homework folder to return to school. When they turn in their letter Monday mornings they get two separate grades, one is a homework grade and one is a Language Arts grade. The weekly letter needs to get turned in to be graded!

Dearborn Public Schools Battle Against Hunger & Turkey Trot

This is the 2nd year that the Edsel Ford Feeder Track schools will be participating in the Battle Against Hunger.  This school year, all three Dearborn High Schools and our feeders will be raising money for two charities:  Amity and Zaaman.  The goal is to raise $7,600 for Amity (will feed 100 families) and 30,000 cans for Zaaman’s food pantry. This Battle Against Hunger will take place from Monday, November 12th through Friday, November 16th.  There will also be a Turkey Trot on Saturday, November 10th at 9:30 a.m.

Can you help make root beer floats on Friday or donate supplies?

Compliment Reward Celebration Friday!

The class earned its first reward celebration by filling our 5 x 5 chart for 25 points! The class voted on Rootbeer Floats for a snack. We will have root beer floats in the afternoon. Looking for some volunteers to help scoop ice cream at 1:30. If you can join us, please let me know. Two or three scoopers should do.

Also, if you can help donate supplies we need ice cream, root beer, cups, and spoons. If someone wants to take on coordinating with families to bring different supplies so we have everything we need, that is greatly appreciated! Please let me know if you can help out!

Thank you! The kids worked hard, they are excited!
