Since there is no school on Friday, the spelling test will be on Thursday this week.
Here are the spelling words for next week: 5th Grade Spelling Week 19
The spelling test for week 18 will be on Monday. The spelling test for week 19 will be on Friday.
NWEA testing will continue on Monday, we are almost done. The kids are making great gains, it is really exciting to see!
No weekly letter this week, we will pick back up next week.
Have a great weekend!
As a reminder, at no point will safeties be cancelled.
In cases of severe inclement weather, on a school day, the safeties will report to an inside post given by Mrs. Bennett, or Ms. McCuaig.
Thank you!!!
Hope you had a nice long weekend!
Tomorrow is the first day of the 3rd quarter. Please help your 5th grader start the quarter off right by getting their homework turned in complete and on time!
Reminder: tomorrow is a half day of school. Dismissal is at 11:45 am
Students can show you the timeline note taker they started in class today. Students can log into their google docs to show you. Their homework is to show it to you and get help filling in missing events and dates. There should be a total of 8 or 9 events. They can add more if they want to, but no more than 12.
Secondly, please help students upload artifacts to their google drive. This can be pictures, videos, or places. The artifacts will be a visual for each event. Students need a minimum of 4 artifacts. Each event does not need an artifact.
Please be in touch with questions. I look forward to seeing these timelines come to life tomorrow!
Student’s started a rough draft today. Their homework is to ask you to help fill in important dates. They are wondering when they took their first step, spoke their first word, lost their first tooth, their first day of school, big trips they took, awards they received.
We will work on taking this information and the rough drafts they started to create a digital timeline starting Monday. It will be possible for students to add pictures and video. Students do not need to bring these in on Monday, but starting to gather these items for future use will be great. This will be a two week project. After creating their personal timelines, students will then create a timeline of the person they choose for their biography book talk to present during their speech later this month
Please be in touch with any questions.
Have a great weekend!
