The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is challenging our class to raise $250 online!

All classrooms at our school that raise $250 or more online will receive a pizza party!

Vowel alternation

Explanation:

Vowel alternation occurs in many related words when the spelling of the vowels remains the same despite an alternation or change in the sound represented by the spelling. These alternations occur as affixes are added and the accented syllables change. A way that can help students is to present the vowel alternation patterns in a logical sequence. Another way to help students is to show them that multiple alternations are occurring in a group of related words. The spelling-meaning connections plays an extremely important role in helping students expand their vocabulary knowledge.

map – a visual image of a geographic feature; usually has a key or map scale

Our class is doing an amazing job raising funds! The kids are really motivated to come in first place and win the pasta party.

Tomorrow is the first day of March!  To kick it off, we are having Dr. Suess day!  Please wear red or white to celebrate! Dr. Seuss’ birthday is actually March 2, but we will celebrate him and all his wonderful writing tomorrow!
