All students are to have a ‘silent’ reading book for the beginning of each class.

7th. grade Ancient History:

Open house Wed., 9/16/’15  from 6:00-7:30 P.M.

Quiz Friday, 9/18: Students will be taking a quiz covering pp. 5-23.

Define: archaeologist, historian, geographer, anthropologist, prehistoric. Be able to describe Australopithecus (Lucy), Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homo sapien, their life styles, location, and approximate age.

8th. grade American History:

Quiz Friday. 9/18. Students will be quizzed on material of early American colonization.

Know about the trade developed by Marco Polo. Explain the reason for the voyage of Columbus.  Know of the exploration of the conquistadors(reason, location, treatment of natives), the French and the early English.
