Computer Access Survey
If you have not filled out the access survey, please check Google Classroom, your email, or Student Connect for the link. Please check your email daily for what you should be working on for Physics during the shut down. This week: Due Wednesday 4 iLearn quizzes on Momentum.
Week of 12/9
Physics Test Unit 3
Unit 3 Practice Test
Will be this Thursday, 10/31. This will be a FORMATIVE grade that students can correct and get feedback on their work. The summative test will be next Wednesday, 11/6. This is over 4 objectives, analyzing position time graphs and equations, drawing and analyzing velocity time graphs, drawing and analyzing motion maps, and describing motion.
Week of October 21st
We have been working on motion with acceleration this week. Students have completed worksheets to help them understand velocity-time graphs, motion maps, and the equations to use for each of these. We will continue our work on velocity time graphs next week. There will be a practice test over all of the objectives next week on Wednesday.
Week of September 23rd
Week of September 16th
We have been hard at work learning how to gather data and analyze the data using the calculator. We are working on interpreting what the equation means based on the data gathered.
We had a practice test last week, it was returned to students on Friday. We are now practicing areas where students struggled on the practice. The actual test will be
THIS WEDNESDAY, September 18th. Please make sure you go over your practice tests before then!
After the test we will then move on to our buggy lab and beginning our work on motion.
Week of September 3rd
We have completed our first lab and students are now practicing gathering data and analyzing the data. We will be working on this all week as labs in class where they will graph data in their notebooks, analyze it with a calculator and then draw conclusions about the lab based on what they learn. Students will have their first quiz next week over this material.
Welcome to Physics!
We have gotten off to a great start. Today, we went over the class syllabus, which should have come home with your child today. We then started the first of many labs we will do for the semester. For the remainder of the week we will be working on:
Wednesday: Dowel Rod Lab – Please make sure you bring your lab notebook to class.
Thursday: Debrief Dowel Rod Lab
Friday: Enjoy the weekend – no school! See you on TUESDAY, as Monday is Labor Day.
