Physical Fitness Testing

At the beginning of the card marking, our students are tested on the 5 components of physical fitness.  This is a pre-test for the end of the semester.  My goal is that students will improve in all the components through the activities in physical education class so we will have a post-test then and the scores will be recorded on that report card.

Cardiovascular endurance:  how strong the heart is and the lungs are and how well they work together

Flexibility: how stretchy your muscles are

Agility:  how quick the muscles react

Muscular Endurance:  how many times the muscle can contract in a set amount of time

Muscular Strength:  how much force a muscle can withstand at once
