During our football unit, Unis students learn proper passing and catching techniques. They learn the best way to hold the ball and how to create the spiral rotation when releasing it. When catching the ball, they know the importance of tracking it through the air.
We play a game called Falcon Football which is a passing game-staying in line with Dearborn Public School’s physical education curriculum. The offensive teams need to come up with plays to complete passes in the end zone for a touchdown. Students must be aware of the line of scrimmage and the goal lines so they do not lose a down on off-sides.
