Recap of November 18 to November 22

Español I

This week in Spanish 1, students learned to use the verbs gustar and encantar. Students learned to talk about what they like and really like and watched a couple videos of native speakers doing the same. Later on in the week, students read an infographic on music in Latin America and Mexico transitioning into a short video on the rise of Latin music in the United States. On Thursday and Friday, students worked on a short book of their likes and dislikes with current unit vocabulary.

Español II

This week in Spanish 2, students at the beginning of the week learned to use negative commands and read an authentic article on how to be healthy to keep your weight in check. Later in the week, students began working on a mini-poster with a partner choosing a health topic important to them, and using positive and negative commands to give advice on this health topic for the poster. On Friday students also watched a short video about the level of happiness in Nicaragua despite many problems in the country.
