Hello Everyone!
We had a really fun week learning about apples and the letter L. We will continue with our apple theme next week, too!
I know it is allergy season, and lots of kids have allergies, but, we need to keep everyone safe in the classroom. I do not like sending kids home, but with Covid cases on the rise (especially in children) I will be sending students home when symptoms of covid are present. I will send home a check list stating the symptoms we saw and you will have 3 options – take your child to the doctor and bring a note back stating they are not contagious, providing a negative PCR covid test, or staying home for 10 school days. Some of our students have weakened immune systems and we need to be mindful of that and take precautions. We will always err on the side of caution. Wearing masks indoors is expected. Please work on this at home if your child is having some trouble keeping their mask on! We all want to be in school learning and having fun. So let’s work together and keep each other healthy!
I will be sending home a note next week for conferences. Conferences will be from 4pm-7pm on November 11th. Please select your top 3 times and I will do my best to accommodate all families.
Please know I am always available for discussions or questions. Fridays would be ideal for these meetings/phone calls. 🙂 My classroom phone number is 313.827.7295
I am still missing emergency cards. It is a law that your child needs to have an updated emergency card every year. I will be sending them home on Monday if you have not returned yours. Please fill this out or call me and we can fill it out together!
