Spelling Updates:

First of all, I would like to say how proud I am of our students!  They are doing a great job at our sight words and our word families.   During our district Kindergarten meeting, spelling guidelines were discussed and clarified.  Therefor, beginning this Thursday, Feb. 14 the following changes will occur concerning our sight word and word families:

    1. students will need to only read the selected sight words (continuing to practice writing the sight words is still a great idea)
    2. students will be asked to spell  6 words from the given word pattern : 3 warm (words practiced in class)                       3 cold (words to be built from prior knowledge beginning sounds and word pattern)

Spelling Words:

-et word pattern (met, set, pet)
