*If you are in 5th hour, I passed out a packet of Cloze Reading Summaries for the story for chapters 1-7 so far. This is not a graded assignment, but I highly recommend you complete them to reinforce your learning of the book. I will hand out chapter 8 next week. These summaries are in a pink folder on Schoology. If you were absent, I can give you a printed copy on Monday.
*I have also posted the final exam study guide on Schoology. I will not be grading this but you should start working on it sooner than later.

QUIZ FOR CHAPTERS 6 AND 7 OF ANIMAL FARM IS TOMORROW. STUDY WELL AND STAY EXTRA FOCUSED WHEN READING AND STUDYING

Friday, May 2nd
We continued with speeches today and should finish them up on Monday. I am hoping to have speech grades posted by Monday.
*There will be a quiz on chapters 6 and 7 of Animal Farm this Tuesday, May 6th. You need to read both chapters this weekend and start studying. I have posted the questions for you to complete first and then answers to check for both chapters in the week 13 folder on Schoology. I am not counting the questions as a graded assignment though.
*I recommend annotating on a separate piece of paper while you read the chapters the more important events that took place, the development of some of the characters, themes to identify with evidence, important sayings or quotes from certain characters.
*I will be asking you questions on the quiz about some very specific, detailed sentences from the book for example what Boxer did to one of the dogs in chapter 7 or what item Napoleon agree to sell to Mr. Whymper. You will need to memorize a lot from what happens in both chapters. The quiz will test your memory and obviously critical thinking so study well and be attentive. There is no study guide. Focus on the questions I provided in the week 13 folder and take good notes while you read the chapters yourself.
*DO NOT FORGET THAT I HAVE RECORDINGS OF MY READINGS AND ANALYSES FOR THE CHAPTERS ON SCHOOLOGY IF IT WOULD HELP YOU TO LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND.
Have a good weekend
