Happy St. Patrick’s Day
A parent in my neighborhood created an activity for kids to do today which is to walk around and find as many shamrocks as you can. I am sure she has other parts to her game but this is not my point. You may be thinking I’m too old to play such a game, but if you get bored you could do it just to get out of the house, or take a younger sibling outside to do shamrock hunt. You have to exercise your mind and body!
Create a schedule! Get up at the same time everyday. Eat breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner. Go to “school” for a couple of hours. Workout. Find a good book to read and read for an hour (do you know about overdrive?). Go back to “school” for an hour or more. We have to give ourselves structure!
As you know all of your teachers will be engaging in online instruction for the next few weeks. Be sure you and your friends are checking emails and such!
I will post all assignments on my iblog and google classroom. I will use iblog for reminders and extra resources in case you want to learn more.
Please reach out to your classmates and make sure that they have checked their emails. Check in with GOOGLE CLASSROOM for assignments. I plan to have you turn in 2 assignments weekly. Daily, I will give you an assignment which can simply do with a little brain power and awareness
Today’s Assignment: On a SSOP. Remember to title and date it. 1) Identify 5 common Irish recipes/dishes (no you do not have to write down 5 recipes). Write down the TITLE of the recipe– Read through them note the Ingredients and Directions. 2) What are 3 commonly used ingredients when it comes to Irish cookery?
3) When you are finished put it in the classwork section of your binder. If you forgot, lost, or don’t have a binder NOW is the time to do it!
Feel free to email me if you have any problems or questions. I will be online daily until 3:15 if you need help with my class or any tech issues for any of your classes.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Anderson-Weigandt
