Hello Families of River Oaks Third Grade Students!
Our classes are making Arcade Games out of cardboard and recycled materials. We are in the planning stage right now, but we are in need of supplies and are wondering if any of you have stuff we can use. Nothing needs to be new, we are trying to use things that would otherwise be thrown out or recycled! If you have things like: cardboard tubes- a variety of sizes are needed, clothespins, thick paper plates, solo cups, large boxes, Popsicle sticks and/or tongue depressors, clean soup or vegetable cans, dowels, ping pong balls, small balls- soft….. We are in NEED! Items can be dropped off to the art room. Our students are making this Arcade to coincide with a district initiative to provide a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) experience at every school. Our big opening will be in May.
