My class won the reading contest during March is Reading Month and was rewarded with a dodgeball game against their parents, it was a blast. Thank you to those who were able to make it today, what a great way to end the week!!:)

Pardhini has displayed leadership qualities and is an excellent example for her peers.  She is a diligent worker, follows school rules/expectations and always presents her absolute best.

I also started a contest in my classroom and sent out a log for it. This is to keep the fun of reading going and encourage our kids to read. The reading log will have to be returned April 8th.

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Your child’s class has won our  school’s reading competition by reading more than any other class during the month of March! The prize they have been working towards is to play a friendly game of dodgeball against YOU! There will be a parent vs. students game held in the gym on Friday, March 29, at 2:30.  It will be the class against their parents.  Students have been working hard to reach this goal and are looking forward to having you come and play!

Geer Park’s Family Literacy Night is this Monday, March 25th from 4:30 to 6:00!

We look forward to seeing students and their families for a fun night of literacy games, raffle prizes, activities, book fair shopping and much more!

Students will be bringing  back loose change (coins) in the bag provided for them.  The loose change is due on Thursday, March 21. This is  to raise money for our classroom?  All funds raised will be matched by scholastic for us to use to purchase items for our classroom. The class who raises the most money will have their funds tripled!
