Sep 16th Firehouse Trip

Today third graders learned a lot about fire safety from our fire fighter. Be sure to ask you child about what he/she learned. Tomorrow is our trip to the firehouse in the morning. Fourth graders will be staying with Mrs. Moon for math. We will be back to school well before lunch 🙂

Sep 9th (No Title)

Open House Thursday from 6-7:30 with a camp meeting starting at 7 in Mrs. Courtright’s room for 5th graders and their parents and Mrs. Ranka’s room for 4th graders and their parents.  

Ms. C will have an introductory meeting for students wanting to be a safety this Thursday right after school for about 1/2 an hour. Parents are encouraged to attend.

Sep 5th (No Title)

Next week: Book Fair starts next week Monday and goes for entire week. We have a PTA meeting on Wednesday at 7:00 in the cafeteria, Open House Thursday from 6-7:30 with a camp meeting starting at 7 in Mrs. Courtright’s room for 5th graders and Mrs. Ranka’s room for 4th graders.

Sep 4th Zearn

Tonight for homework, students are going to try going on to Zearn for math using their username and password. There is also a class code. We wrote all of this information in the front of our planners. If your child has trouble logging on, no worries. We will figure things out tomorrow. I just wanted them to try it! I don’t want them to stress out if they can’t log on!

They have been doing a great job!

Jun 10th Picnic/Pool

It appears we are short drivers for 3 kids.  If anyone else can drive or someone who is driving can take more kids, please let me know!

Jun 10th Couple more things!

Wednesday is going to be electronic day.  Students earned this reward with our “writing improvement” jar.   I will keep the electronics by my desk and students will have some time to play on them.  We will only be using school appropriate games.  If you are uncomfortable sending in an electronic device, students can also use the chromebooks.

Thursday is another reward for our multiplication facts, so we will be having ice cream sundaes!!

Jun 10th Park and Pool Day Tomorrow!

Some reminders:

If you are driving/chaperoning, please be here by 8:50.  We will pack up and go as soon as we are ready.  If you have coolers with ice or food and are driving, you can just keep the items in your c  Students should wear sunscreen, but also bring more along with their towel and bathing suit.  If your child prefers to wear their suit to the park, that works also.  Girls can wear their suit under their clothes if they prefer.

I think the forecast looks good, so it should be a great day!!

May 23rd Math Tests

Just to let you know, the Math test will be coming home soon!  With MStep testing and NWEA, some students were finishing up the test, along with those tests!  I also didn’t want to overwhelm them and do everything all at once!  We will be doing our Science NWEA today and will finish up with Math NWEA next week.  Then, we are done!!
