Also, permission slips for Dearborn High student research project need to also be turned in tomorrow. She will be coming into the classroom tomorrow.

Jan 14th High School Student Research Study

Today a permission slip will be coming home for an upcoming event. A former DuVall student, who is a Junior at Dearborn High, will be coming in to our classroom to ask students their opinions on the appearances of different food packages. The details are outlined in the permission slip, but basically she will be collecting data as she asks a brief amount of questions. Please return the permission slip as soon as possible. She is an awesome student and I think it will be a great experience for all!

Sorry for the late post. I have been out sick for the past day and a half!

Parents who are chaperoning tomorrow can meet us in the lobby at 10:20. Students should bring a bag lunch and a drink, as we will be eating lunch at the DIA. No extra money is needed!

Nov 26th Happy Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful each and everyday for your children. They are a pleasure to teach. I hope you have a restful, enjoyable holiday with your family and friends!!

Nov 22nd Third Grade Math

End of module 2 assessment will be on Tuesday next week!! Students have the review. We completed it together in class. Please help your child study and review. You can also use the Succeed book to help. All of the homework helpers will be useful and students can do any problems that we didn’t do for practice.

Nov 19th Helpful Websites

During conferences, I was telling many of you about a couple sites that we use here in the classroom that students can access at home. They are VERY helpful and reinforce what we do in class.

Readworks.org Students can log in as a student from home and use our class code — H7BFBQ . There are text passages that I assign, along with questions that go along with the text for comprehension practice. We are focusing on using text based evidence, which is locating the evidence in the reading selection, which will help them answer the question.

Freckle — Students have login cards, but if not they use their first and last name, capital letters on both first and last. The class code is alabaz. This all subjects for practice.

Zearn — Most of you know about this. It is the site that goes along with our Eureka Math program. Students should spend 20 minutes on this each night to keep up with our lessons. We also use it in class.
