Knowledge on the Go Math Lesson for Third Grade — Lesson 28
Here is a link to the Lesson 28 Math. This video will be very helpful for learning the Math. It is just like what we would do in class. You can pause the video to catch up and use your Math books now that you have them! Let me know if we have any questions π

Third Grade Math
Hopefully everyone was able to pick up the Math books and Language Journals. For the rest of the week for Math, you can do the Zearn Lesson for the day. You can also do the Application problem for the Lesson like we do turn and talk in class. Teach your parents about how we do it :). Then, you can do the problem set. If you are understanding it, you can choose some of the problems (like we do in class). If you are having any trouble, remember to use the homework helper in the Succeed and use that for extra practice. Remember, you don’t have to do everything! You might enjoy doing the sprints too!
Next week, I will post more specifically on the Schedule, but that will be the format for Math. You can think about how we did it in Math class at school!
I miss you!! Keep up the good work!

Cinco de Mayo
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo, or the fifth of May, is a holiday that celebrates the date of the Mexican armyβs May 5, 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War. This day is also known as the Battle of Puebla Day.
This is one of my favorite books that I read for Cinco de Mayo. I thought I had a copy on my shelf at home and was going to record a reading, but I must have taken it to school. Here is a link to the read aloud:

Student of the Week
If you were not Student of the Week while we were in school, would you please send me an email? I have an idea of something to do remotely, with those students who did not get the opportunity to be student of the week!

Supplies Distribution
DuVall Families,
In order to assist families with the continuation of remote learning, our staff has gathered student math books that we are planning on distributing on Tuesday, May 5th. At this time, the math books along with some specific grade level supplies (and registration information for next year) will be distributed for each student. Personal items that were not picked up on March 13th will not be distributed at this time. Parents and students will not be allowed to enter the building as the learning resources will be brought to your vehicle by a staff member. We are going to follow the same safety protocols that were used with the chromebook distribution.
Parents will drive up to the bus lane on Francis Street near the preschool door (door 4) on Tuesday, May 5th. Please follow traffic rules and allow for distance between vehicles while the materials distribution is taking place. If your family has multiple siblings in our building, please indicate the names of the students so that you can make one trip.
