Hi! I’m Leslie Adadow, and my students call me “Ms. Leslie.” I am happy to be working as a school social worker in the Dearborn Public Schools system.  I have been working with students here for 20 years, helping to guide them into becoming their best selves. Working with youth invariably means family work, and I enjoy facilitating and teaching mediation and communication skills so no one feels left out, or not heard.  Families are the backbone of any community, and a strong family leads to strong and resilient youth.

As for my experience, I have also worked in mental health and substance abuse at Henry Ford Hospital for a number of years, and have a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I enjoy counseling youth, as they are the future of our community, so I have stayed at Dearborn Public Schools for 18 years, where I can do the most good.  Dearborn is a city close to my heart, as I have called it home for 23 years, and raised my son here as a single mother. I understand and empathize with the struggles many of my students and their families face. I can happily say that my son is now a successful adult with a great job, and I hope to see all of my students accomplish what they want in life. If you know me, you know traveling around the world is in my blood, and the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, and Asia are places I’ve been, most recently visiting Taiwan and Hong Kong. I love meeting new people, and would welcome a chance to be a support or resource to you or your child! Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any reason—I’m here for you.
