Happy New Year! Students at Henry Ford are working hard as we start the second semester of the school year. At Henry Ford, students come to the media center as scheduled to select books. Students may also visit with a pass from their teacher. Students are reading fiction, non-fiction, biographies, and the fastest growing genre- graphic novels! We’re also getting ready for March is Reading Month, so stay tuned!!
Students at Stout visit the media center either with their classes, or individually with a pass from their teacher.

We are already at the end of the fourth week of school! The first few weeks we have been learning the back to school rules including seating arrangements, class rules, and how to check out a book. Soon we’ll be learning and reviewing how to use the Destiny computer system, to find and reserve books.
Below you can see a few of the books we’ve been enjoying this year.

Welcome Back to School!!

Summer School
Henry Ford Summer School 2021
Congratulations on finishing the most challenging school year we’ve ever had. It has certainly been a very different year for all of us, but I’m very proud of everyone and how hard everyone has worked. Have a wonderful summer!

I’m so proud of the hard work that everyone has been doing this year! We’ve shared so many books, both traditional paper books and electroic books through SORA, with thank you to the Dearborn Public Library for their assistance. Our lessons in Schoology started out all recorded, but now we are able to meet weekly on Zoom, and it’s so exciting to see everyone.
We have shared books, learned computer coding through Code.org, and so much more so far this year. Be sure to check out the links on the right side of this page for more educational and fun resources!
