October 15

I hope everyone is having a good school year! It’s great seeing everyone back in school! We’ve been working on classroom rules and procedures, information literacy, appropriate use of technology, and locating books in the media centers.

September 23

We are already at the end of the fourth week of school! The first few weeks we have been learning the back to school rules including seating arrangements, class rules, and how to check out a book. Soon we’ll be learning and reviewing how to use the Destiny computer system, to find and reserve books.

Below you can see a few of the books we’ve been enjoying this year.

Congratulations on finishing the most challenging school year we’ve ever had.  It has certainly been a very different year for all of us, but I’m very proud of everyone and how hard everyone has worked.  Have a wonderful summer!

I’m so proud of the hard work that everyone has been doing this year!  We’ve shared so many books, both traditional paper books and electroic books through SORA, with thank you to the Dearborn Public Library for their assistance.  Our lessons in Schoology started out all recorded, but now we are able to meet weekly on Zoom, and it’s so exciting to see everyone.

We have shared books, learned computer coding through Code.org, and so much more so far this year.  Be sure to check out the links on the right side of this page for more educational and fun resources!

Welcome Back!

We’re so glad to see everyone back in school, and just in time for March is Reading Month! This school year is certainly different than any other, but we’re so proud of you for working hard and doing your best.

These are just some of the new books waiting for you in our media centers!

Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had a restful and safe winter break!  We had several holidays the past few weeks, and whether you celebrate all or none of them, winter break is always a special time to relax and enjoy time with your family.

It’s now 2021 and I’m looking forward to all of the new things we’re going to do and seeing how much you have learned!  We’re all still learning and teaching remotely, which means unfortunately we can’t see you face to face, but I’m so proud of all of the hard work you have done using your Chromebooks, computers, or tablets.

You are still able to check out books using the “curbside checkout” system at school.  Reserve your book on Destiny, I will then check for it and send you an email letting you know it is ready, and you can pick it up.  Library checkout at Henry Ford is Tuesdays from 1:15 – 3:15, Lindbergh on Tuesdays, and River Oaks from 1:30 – 3:00.

Happy Reding and Happy New Year!
