The 2018-2019 school year is off to a great start! Students have been learning classroom and library checkout procedures. Students at both schools will begin to check out books next week. Students are getting acquainted with the computers, learning their usernames and passwords, and learning proper use of the computers.
We’re starting book check-out a little later this year, sorry for the delay. We’ll be starting at both Lindbergh and Maples next week, September 24. Thanks for your patience!
I’ve had several questions about the MyOn reading program we’ve used for the past several years. Students have been looking for MyOn through Clever, on the district homepage. Unfortunately it is not available through the district this year.
I hope that everyone is having a great start to the school year! It sure has been warm, but hopefully cooler weather is on the way.
We’ve been learning the procedures for entering and exiting the media centers and computer lab, as well as learning classroom expectations.
We have a new Media Secretary this year, Ms. Nehmat Dakroub. She will be helping our students and staff check out library books.
Have a great school year!
Welcome to a new school year!
I hope everyone had a great summer! I can’t wait to see each of you and hear about the fun things you did during summer vacation. Looking forward to another great school year!
Relaxing and reading using the Chromebooks

Learning the keyboards
We’ve been working on keyboarding and finished our last assessment this week. Students did great! It’s so important to be able to find the letters quickly on the computer keyboard.
Sharpening the Saw, Habit #7
A few Habit #7 selfies at Lindbergh!

Keyboard covers help us learn to memorize the keyboard.
Keyboarding
Everyone is doing a great job learning where the letters and numbers are on the keyboards. Don’t forget to keep your fingers on the home row keys. We’ll have a quiz next week.
Great things happening at Lindbergh!
Students did a really good job making their Google Slides presentation about Earth Day, which is April 22. Many good ideas about how to take care of our Earth.
We also heard a great performance from the Bryant Jazz Band for our March reward party.
Keep up the wonderful work everyone!
