Field Day!

Come join us for a day of fun! Geer Park’s Field Day will be on May 4, 2018 at 9:30- noon for K-2. This year it will take place outdoors, so please dress you child accordingly. Students have been working hard throughout the school year to earn this privilege, and we look forward to sharing this experience with all of you.

*Free popcorn and juice will be provided. Students may also bring money to buy other snacks.

Timeline Project

Dear Parents,

In Social Studies we are currently learning about timelines and events that happened in our past and present.

As a family project, we are asking that you work with your child to create their own timeline. In this timeline, you will need 4 photographs of your child. One will be a picture of when they were born, the next will be when they were 1 or 2 years old, then a toddler, and the last one will be of your child as a kindergartener. After you and your child have found photographs for their timeline, please help your child write one sentence about each picture. Below, you will find an example of a timeline for you to model.

We hope that this will be an exciting activity for you and your child to work on together as you reflect on meaningful moments in their life. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
