I miss you ALL!

Good afternoon, 5th Grade!
I’m checking in to let you know that I still miss you all very much and to tell you that I’m extending your due dates for assignments (except math and reading logs) until Friday. Some of you have questions and I’ll call a few of you today. I took the weekend off for my family to help them with their online classes and spend some quality time. We are all in this together and we will get through it, TOGETHER. Keep checking Class Dojo and Google Classroom for assignments. I can’t wait to see your smiles and give you hugs, again! In the meantime, here’s a pic of Zak getting some sun! ☀️ ☀️☀️

Healthy Living!

Today, in our Healthy Living workshop, we learned about vegetables, their country of origin and what nutrients we get from them. We also learned about some ways we can incorporate them into our diet. We tried out a tasty (and healthy) salad dressing recipe and got a cookbook full of more!

Dearborn’s Battle Against Hunger Drive is here!

Greetings, Salina families!
This year’s fourth annual Battling Against Hunger drive is a cooperative effort between Dearborn, Edsel Ford and Fordson high schools, with help from the elementary and middle schools that feed into those buildings. Our feeder school is Edsel Ford High School. Our 4th and 5th grade classes here, at Salina Intermediate, are competing for the most canned goods or money raised! Please help our class and community by donating canned goods and/or money starting Nov. 12th through the 16th. Ofcourse, my class and students want to win the competition, but this is an amazing effort which we are privileged to be a part of.We win either way! Thanks, in advance, for your continued support! Go Wildcats! Go Mrs. Abdullah’s Class!
