Recommended School Supplies

Students and Parents,

Below is a recommend list of school supplies that has been compiled and organized by a few of our sixth grade teachers.  Please note that these supplies are recommended, but not every single item on the list is a requirement.  If you have yet to do your back to school shopping please use this list to guide your purchases.  If you are not able to acquire any of the necessary supplies please don’t hesitate to talk  to me, your other teachers, or the main office staff.

6th Grade Math List ONLY (students will view all supplies on the first day of school)

  • Box of pencils with erasers
  • Checking pen or pencil (any color except black)
  • Colored pencils (set of 12 is plenty!)
  • A two-pocket folder 
  • Loose leaf paper
  • 1 or 1.5 inch binder (NO LARGER and strictly for our interactive math notebooks)
  • A single, three-whole punched pocket page for the binder or a two-pocket folder

                 that students can make into a pocket page in class

  • A box of tissue would be greatly appreciated, but is not required
  • 6th Grade Science

 

  • 2 Boxes of tissues

 

    • 3 Containers of Clorox wipes
    • 1 Bottle of hand sanitizer
    • Good Supply of #2 Pencils with erasers

 

  • Pencil sharpener with container to hold shavings
  • Colored pencils
  • 2 pocket folder with fasteners
  • 2 Science Notebooks for the year (Composition or spiral  notebook)
  • 12-inch Ruler

 

 

6th Grade (for other classes)

  • 2 Boxes of tissues
  • 3 Containers of disinfectant wipes
  • 1 Bottle of hand sanitizer
  • Good Supply of #2 Pencils
  • Erasers
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Red pens (5 pack)
  • Markers
  • Ruler- all graphs must be drawn with a straight edge
  • Loose leaf paper
  • Glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Highlighters
  • Crayola Dry Erase Markers/eraser
  • Two pocket folders with prongs for every subject (Math, Science, Language Arts, Reading, Computers and Social Studies)
  • Zippered pencil pouch
  • For Computer Classes:  Auto or lead pencils, a plain folder with prongs and pockets,  a good set of headphones or earbuds and an 8GB (or higher) Thumb Drive
