Language Objective: Students will write and solve for wave speed,  wavelength, and frequency using the CER and the 5 steps to problem solving method on a structured practice.

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate analyzing patterns and trends by evaluating information in a series of video experiments.

Language Objective:  Students will write to ask essential questions using scientific vocabulary including row, column, periodic table, element.

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate application of finding the period of a pendulum by completing a lab investigation

Language Objective:  Students will write to answer questions about variables that affect a period of a pendulum using different string length, amplitude (angle) and number of washers (mass)

Chemistry

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate analyzing patterns and trends by evaluating similarities and differences among elements in a series of video experiments.

Language Objective:  Students will write to determine using scientific vocabulary including row, column, periodic table, element .
