January 21, 2019 – MLK Observation Day: no school

January 22, 2019 – 1/2 Day 7:20am – 10:30am; attend 1st, 2nd, and 3rd hours 

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate comprehension of classroom expectations and procedures by reviewing and explaining the semester 2 syllabus.

Language Objective:  Students will orally rehearse and write about important rules, expectations and class room routines that will help them be successful during S2 physics by reviewing the classroom syllabus.

January 23, 2019 – 1/2 Day 7:20am – 10:30am; attend 4th, 5th, and 6th hours

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate comprehension of classroom expectations and procedures by reviewing and explaining the semester 2 syllabus.

Physics

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate knowledge of physics 1 and 2 concepts by completing a pre-test and choosing words to the best of their knowledge on a ABC brainstorming.

Language Objective: Students will write about Semester 1 and 2 concepts using a ABC brainstorming quick write and quick draw.

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate Group Norms by completing a team task.

January 25, 2019 

Physics

Content Objective: Students will demonstrate comprehension of characteristics of waves by exploring different sections from chapter 25 while completing a metacognitive log and a four-square group poster.

Language Objective: Students will read and write to answer questions about characteristics of waves by exploring different sections from chapter 25 using sentence stems on a group poster.

Content Objective:  Students will demonstrate understanding Classroom and Group Norms by completing a summative assessment

Language Objective:  Students will write to answer questions about Group Norms using prior knowledge and recent experiences
