Dear Families,

Thank you to all the families who attended Open House. During Open House, I handed out information on how to access our Class Dojo. This is an app that allows me to communicate with you regarding how your child is doing in class and sending out quick reminders. You can also contact me through the app. If you did not make to Open House last night, the information will be in your child’s Take Home folder today. Class Dojo is not replacing my Blog. So, If you haven’t signed up for the Blog, you still need too.

I am putting together a Scholastic Book order next week. If you would like to order a few books for your child, you can either order them online, or send in your child’s book selections along with payment. There is a note in your child’s folder with our class code along with the flyers.

Finally, we will be having a District-Wide Late Start Day, on Wednesday, September 19th. Students need to come to school at 9:35 instead of 8:35.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Dear Families,

Hopefully tomorrow will be cooler. I had a couple of quick reminders:

On Friday, September 7th, students are to bring their favorite toy to school. We will be doing a writing activity in class around their toy.

The “Meet Me Mystery Bag” activity is due on Monday, September 10th. I will be picking bags throughout the week, and the class will be guessing who brought in the items. The kids really love this activity and it is a great way for them to learn about each other.

We will be having an Open House on Thursday, September 13th, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.  Please mark your calendars and we hope to see everyone here!!

There will be a Half-Day for students on September 14th. Students will be dismissed at 11:45. Teachers will be attending Professional Development that afternoon.

Finally, I need all the completed paperwork back from the First Day of School as soon as possible. Please let me know if you can’t find a form, or if you are unsure whether or not you have turned everything in.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

There will be NO SCHOOL for all Young Five and Kindergarten students on Friday, September 28th. For your First-Fifth grade students this day will be a regular school day. Kindergarten and Young Five Teachers will be attending Professional Development.

Dear Families,

Since we were unable to get the Splash Pad for our Rain Date on Wednesday, we will have our Picnic tomorrow even if it is raining. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who has already signed up to bring in items. However, we are still in need of a few things. We still need some cold dishes; Mini Cupcakes; Brownies; Outdoor games; coolers with ice; and volunteers.

Your child will not need a lunch tomorrow. You can still send in a small snack for the morning to hold them over until the picnic.

During the Picnic, we will be eating outside as long as it is dry. I realized that I forgot to add that you will need a blanket for you and your family to sit on.

Finally, your child may wear his/her bathing suit to school under their clothing. Please also send in water shoes and a beach towel for the Splash Pad.

I can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow.

Dear Families,

Wow this week is flying by!! I had a couple of quick reminders.

There will be a Water Slide at the Luau Party tomorrow. If your child wants to go on the slide, he/she will need to bring appropriate swim wear, a towel, and flip flops.

Thank you so much to all the families who signed up to donate an item/items for our end of the year celebration. Since, our classroom, the Kindergarten classrooms, and their families will be participating in the picnic, we are still in need of several items, including pizzas. If you have not signed up to donate items, please make sure you do so as soon as possible.  Also, I need parent volunteers to come and set up for the picnic and help clean-up afterwards.

Thank you for all your help and support.
