Dear Families,

Please continue to practice letters, numbers, and counting at home with your children.

I am looking forward to seeing at our Young Fives and Kindergarten Parent meeting, on Monday from 10:00-10:30 in Mrs. Coleman’s room, #16.

Finally, all RSVP’s for the next Family Habit Time are due on Tuesday, January 15th.

Dear Families,

I had a couple quick reminders:

Next Wednesday, December 12th is a Late Start Day for students. School will start at 9:35 instead of 8:35.

Friday, December 14th there will be NO SCHOOL Kindergarten and Young Five students. We will be at a Professional Development meeting all day.

Finally, I posted the Sign-up Genius for our Holiday Party on Friday, December 21st.

I realized that I forgot to add a space for volunteers. I will need 4-5 volunteers that day.

Dear Families,

I cannot believe that it is the end of November already. I had some upcoming events.

We are collecting gifts for Toys for Tots! If you would like to donate, please bring an unwrapped gift to school by Monday, December 3rd.

We are also collecting Mittens for Detroit. The collection starts tomorrow, November 30^th and runs through December 21^st. If you are able to donate, then please send to school, a new pair of warm mittens or gloves.

There is NO SCHOOL for Kindergarten and Young Five students on December 14^th. Teachers will be attending Professional Development.

Finally, we will be having a Holiday party on Friday, December 21^st.  I will be sending out a Sign-Up Genius for the items we will need, as well as, volunteers.

Dear Families,

Tomorrow, November 2nd is a Half-Day for all Whitmore-Bolles students. Students will be dismissed at 11:45.

There is NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 6th, due to voting.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be taking place from 4:00-7:00 on Thursday, November 8th; Tuesday November 13th; and Thursday, November 15th. If you have not signed up yet, please let me know as soon as possible.

Finally, thank you so much to all the families who either donated items or volunteered for our celebration yesterday. The kids and I enjoyed ourselves.

Dear Families,

Happy Friday!! I had just a few things:

On Friday, October 26th, there is NO SCHOOL for Young Five a Kindergarten students. Teachers will be attending a district meeting. If you have students in other grades, they have a regular day of school.

We will be having A Harvest Celebration on Wednesday, October 31st. We will be needing several items as well as volunteers for our celebration. I will be posting a Signup Genius link with a list of the needed items. If you would like to be a volunteer, then you need to stop in the office as soon as possible, to complete an I-Chat.

There is a Half-Day of  school for students on Friday, November 2nd.

There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Tuesday, November 6th because of Election Day.

Finally, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be taking place on Thursday, November 8th; Tuesday, November 13th; and Thursday, November 15th, from 4:00-7:00 each day. If you have not signed up for a conference time, please see me as soon as possible. I will be sending out reminder notes about a day before your scheduled appointment.

Dear Families,

Just a couple of quick items:

A couple of notes went home yesterday about Fall Festival next Friday, October 12^th from 5:30-8:30. There will be lots of fun activities for your family to do. You can pre-order tickets. To pre-order, you need to fill out the bottom portion of the orange note and return it to school, with the money in sealed envelope by Tuesday, October 9^th.  At Fall Festival there will be raffle baskets that you can win. All classrooms were asked to donate items for the baskets. Our basket theme is Coffee Lovers. If you would like to donate items for our basket, then you need to send them to school by Tuesday, October 9^th.

Next Wednesday, October 10^th, is our Picture Day. I will be sending home the picture envelope with your child tomorrow. You can choose the pose, as well as, the picture package. All picture money is due by Wednesday, or you can use the code and order online.

Finally, next week is our Book Fair. Instead of going and getting a new book at the Library, children will be able to go down and shop at the Book Fair. Our day to shop is Thursday at 1:30. I will be sending home a flyer with the available books as soon as possible. If you would like your child to purchase a book, you would send the book list along with money in your child’s folder. If you are available to help with the Book Fair we would love to have you.

Dear Families,

I hope everyone is staying warm this evening. I had a couple of announcements.

Next Wednesday, October 10th is Picture Day. Please check your child’s folder for picture package information. In the Fall, you will purchase a picture package without seeing your child’s picture. There will be a Picture Re-Take Day, later on in the year if you are not happy with how your child’s photo turned out.

There will be a Half-Day on Friday, October 12th. All students must be picked up at 11:45.

Now that it is Fall in Michigan, please make sure that you are dressing your child appropriatley for the weather. We will continue to go outside on a daily basis, unless it is raining. Since it is cooler, your child will need to wear a jacket to school.

Dear Families,

There is NO SCHOOL tomorrow for Young Five and Kindergarten students. Students First-Fifth grade will still have a regular school day.

If you have not already sent in a 3 Ring Binder for your child, please send one in by Monday, October 1st.

Dear Families,

Two notes came home in your child’s folder today. One was to join the PTA. To join, all you would do is fill out the paper, put it in an envelope with $10 and return it to school in your child’s folder.

We did not have Book Checkout today. I kept the library books in the classroom and will return them tomorrow. I am hoping we will be able to get new books next week.

There is NO SCHOOL for Kindergarten and Young Five Students, on Friday, September 28^th.  All First-Fifth grade students will still be in school.

Finally, if you have not sent in a 1 subject notebook to school, please do so as soon as possible. I will be using the binders to make “Leadership Notebooks.” The notebook will follow your child to Kindergarten next year and beyond.
