Hello Kindergartners!

Hope you are busy having fun while you are practicing your sight words.

Here is today’s activity:

You can say a word slowly to help you write it. You can hear the sound at the beginning of a word.

“You can write a word by thinking about the beginning sound.

Have a family member say one of your sight words from your Ring of Cards very slowly You are going to write down the sounds you hear. This can be done on regular paper, whiteboard, shaving cream, etc. Practice writing 10 words. Good Luck.

Check-in with me tomorrow for another activity to keep your skills sharp.

Hi Kindergartners!

Hope you are keeping up with your learning while you are at home. Here are two activities for you to do today:

  1. You will be working with the ABC chart again today. This time, instead of saying the picture on the chart or a friend’s name, you will be saying a kind of food or drink that begins with the letter. Remember to read the chart going DOWN instead of ACROSS to really make your brain work harder!

For example: “A a almonds” “E e egg whites” “I i ice cubes” If there is a food item for the picture, try to come up with something different.

If you use the ABC chart below, try “C c cotton candy” ” G g grapes” ” K k kiwi. ”

Good luck! Leave me a comment and let me know how many food or drinks you came up with.

Here’s your second activity:

2. Take out a book from your BOOK Bag. Next, complete the sheet below. If you can’t print it out, you can use just a regular piece of paper. See how many you can find.

Good Luck!

Until next time…

Hello Kindergartners!

I already miss working with you! You have learned so much this year so let’s keep all that hard work going!

While we are at home, I will post a new LLI activity every school day for you to work on. Please make sure to practice reading your books and study the words on your RING of Words each day!

Here is today’s LLI activity!

  1. Choose one of the ABC charts below that you want to use.
  2. Show your family how we read the ABC chart. Find the first Letter and go down instead of reading across, just like we do at school.
  3. Next, instead of using the pictures on the chart, use names of people you know ( friends at school, family members, etc.) An example: A a Alexander; E e Emma, etc. See how many you can come up with. Good Luck!

Come back for a new activity!
