Dear Families,
Here are some great pictures that I took during “Corner Time!” Your child may have been talking at home about this favorite time referred to as”corners.” During this time, the students choose different areas in the room in which they would like to work in. Not only are we practicing our classroom expectations but our social and problem solving skills too. Take a look!
Here is what you need to know for the week of September 15th
- I have been chosen as Lindbergh’s Science Leader this year! Yahoo! However, I will be out of our classroom on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for some extensive training. I have requested the very best guest teachers for our class while I am out. If you need to reach me during this time, please email me at wrightt1@dearbornschools.org. Thanks!
- Lunch Choice: on Monday the choices will be ravioli and grilled cheese. At Lindbergh, we will not served Shrimp Poppers like the menu says due to severe allergies.
- Letter Study of the Week: M m Letter books will be sent home on Monday and will need to be returned back by Friday! Nice job on the S page!
- Book Fair will be in the Media Center this week. Our preview day and time is Monday at 10:55-11:15. If you would like to volunteer to help, please sign in at the office and meet us in the upstairs Media Center during this time! Thanks! During the preview, no money is needed to be sent in. Your child will make a “wish list” that will be placed in your child’s red folder on Monday. If you would like to purchase books, the Book Fair is open before school and after school. The Book Fair will also be opened during Open House on Thursday, September 18th.
- Lindbergh’s Open House will be on Thursday, September 18 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. I am very excited to see everyone. Although we won’t be having parent teachers conferences then, you will be able to sign up for conferences that will take place in November.
- The weather seems to be getting cooler, please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately!
- Lunchboxes: please make sure that your child’s name is marked on the outside of the lunchbox. It makes it so handy when it is well-marked as we pass them out at dismissal time.
- Classroom Behavior: in order to maintain a positive learning environment for our students, it is very important that our students learn to follow directions the first time given. Please give your child a pep talk about this each morning before school.
Thanks for your support!
Ms. Wright
