Dear Families,

Here is what you need to know for this week  in our classroom:

This week’s spelling words are:     hop   pop   top  shop  + 1 mystery “op” words +2  individual words– Please make sure that your child is practicing all spelling words at home, especially their individual words. Although we practice spelling throughout the day at school, please make it a daily habit at home.

Leader in Me Habit 5:  We will  continue to study  Habit 5.    Please practice this habit at home with your child.

Poem of the Week:  Super Star, Super Star

Monday:  This week’s homework will be sent home today- Making “op” words and practicing counting by 2’s to 30.  Homework is due on Friday, March 9th.

Tuesday:  Your child will be taking their spelling test today on last week’s “ig” words.  Return library books.   Music with Mrs. Baloga.  Our students have been busy rehearsing for the Kindergarten Music Concert that will take place on Thursday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m.  Please mark your calendar, you won’t want to miss it!

Wednesday:    We will check out a new library book from the Media Center.

Thursday:  We will have music with Mrs. Baloga.  We will have our PBIS reward today at 2:30 p.m.  The reward is Game Day!  Your child may bring a board/card game to play.  Make sure it is a game they already know how to play.  Please make sure that your child’s name is labeled on the game.

Friday: Please wear gym shoes.  We will go to the computer lab with Mrs. Ackerman.  Homework is due!
