Dear Families,

I can’t believe that May is almost half over!  Time sure flies when you are lucky enough to be the teacher in Room 114!

Here is what you need to know for this week:

Field Trip Information:  Both Lindbergh Kindergarten classes will be going on our fourth and final field trip to U of M- Dearborn for a pond study.  The field trip will be on Wednesday, May 31.  There is no cost for this field trip.  (Thanks to Lindbergh’s PTA for paying for our bus.)  Permission slips will be sent home on Monday so be on the lookout for it in your child’s red folder.  If you are interested in being a chaperone, please indicate so on the bottom of the permission slip.  There is no limit to the number of chaperones who can attend. 🙂

Poem of the Week:  Do You Like to Buzz?

Last Week’s Spelling words: hop  pop  top  mop + mystery word  +  2 individual words.  Your child will be tested on these words on Tuesday.

New  Spelling Words:  “ot” family:   hot   pot   dot   rot + mystery word  +  2 individual words.  Your child will be tested on these words next Tuesday.

• Monday:  We will go to gym and art today.  Please return library book, spelling notebook, poetry journal and Nightly Literacy Homework.
• Tuesday:   This will be our final book checkout from the Media Center.  Spelling Test today.  We will have music today.  Running Club!
• Wednesday: Late Start!  School starts at 9:35  a.m.
• Thursday:  We will have music today.  Last day of Running Club!
• Friday: Popcorn Friday!  We will have computer lab and gym today.

Donuts for Dads will be on Friday, June 9th at 9:00 a.m.  Invitations will be sent home soon!
