Dear Families,

I really hope you are spending time with your amazing kindergartner on this beautiful Sunday afternoon.  Here is what you need to know for our week ahead:

Poem of the Week:  I Love Mother!

Last Week’s Spelling words: dog  fog   log   jog  + mystery word  +  2 individual words.  Your child will be tested on these words on Tuesday.

New  Spelling Words:  “op” family:  hop  pop  top  mop + mystery word  +  2 individual words.  Your child will be tested on these words next Tuesday.

• Monday:  We will go to gym and art today.  Please return library book, spelling notebook, poetry journal and Nightly Literacy Homework.  We still need several Muffins for Moms RSVP slips turned in.
• Tuesday:   Spelling Test today.  We will have music today.  Running Club!
• Wednesday: We will have a guest teacher today so I can go on my son’s field trip.
• Thursday:  We will have music today.  Running Club!
• Friday: Muffins for Moms at 9:00 a.m.  We will have computer lab and gym today.

Special Request for Muffins for Moms:  Since we will be starting promptly, please arrive to our classroom at 9:00 a.m.  We do not want any students to become anxious or worried if they don’t see their mom when the door opens at 9:00 a.m.  Thank you so much!

Daily 5:  This week,  your child will not be getting new books in their book bag.  During this time, we will be working on our publishing center books, animal reports as well as some surprises for Muffins for Moms. However, feel free to practice books on Raz-kids.

Donuts for Dads will be on Friday, June 9th at 9:00 a.m.  Please mark your calendar today!!
