Week of May 4th

Dear Families,

Hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend.   Here  is what you need to know for this week:

  • Letter book: We are studying the “th” digraph. The “th” can be found anywhere in the word.
  • Spelling Words;  dot  hot  not  got

Monday:  Letter books will be sent home today.  Spelling tests will be sent home.  On today’s test, the cold word was “cop” if your child spelled it with a “k” it will still be marked correct since they heard the correct sound.

Tuesday:  Please return library books.  We will go to the Media Center, music and art today.

Wednesday:  Science Fair Boot Camp display boards need to be returned today.  We will go to music today.

Thursday:  Today is  Science Fair Boot Camp!  Come back to school at 6:30 p.m.  You won’t want to miss it!

Friday:  Muffins for Mom is today and  promptly starts at 9:00 a.m.  Please arrive on time.  Students start getting nervous if they don’t think you are here.  If  you haven’t RSVP yet, please do so today.  Everyone needs someone to come for them. Letter books are due!  We will go to gym and the computer lab.

Reading Groups:  I will not see reading groups again this week.  Trust me, we are doing lots of reading and writing in class. However, it is a surprise!!!

Also, we will be taking the NWEA test this week too.
