Today we continued reviewing for our Final Exam. We went over the answer keys for Part 1 and Part 2 review guides in class together. The answer keys are linked below.
Afterwords, Final Exam Review Guide Part 3 was given out in class and the last 15 minutes students had time to work on and get help with any of the review guide parts. A blank copy of Part 3 is linked below.

Area and Perimeter Quiz Today!
After the quiz, students received Part 1 of the Final Exam Review Guide and had their remaining class time to work on it. A blank copy of the review guide is linked below:
After checking yesterday’s homework answers, students reviewed for tomorrow “Quest” on area and perimeter. The “around the room” activity is posted below along with an answer key. We will review these answers tomorrow prior to the “Quest”.
SAT SLOT Week 8 Day 1
Before having time to finish Friday’s partner activity, we took a few notes on composite areas (linked below). Then students were able to finish their activity and pick up the composite area practice worksheet which is homework if not finished in class.

SAT SLOT Week 7 Weds.
After checking the answers to the area application worksheet, we took brief notes on different area formulas for a rectangle, parallelogram and triangle. We also had a more complex example of using area formulas to find missing segments of diagrams. Notes and extra practice are linked below – EP is homework if not finished in class.
SAT SLOT Week 7 Tues.
Continuing yesterday’s activity, students had to find a partner and double check their proofs, distance formula work and perimeters of all 3 shapes. After turning in the activity, they received their 1st worksheet of perimeter practice problems that are checked based on CORRECTNESS. Mr. Wood was giving feedback during class time, but if not finished, you must turn in tomorrow. After the perimeter worksheet was completed, students worked on the area application worksheet – due tomorrow as well! Both worksheets are linked below.

Welcome back! To begin our new year, students began working on constructing and proving 3 different shapes and finding their perimeters. The directions for the activity are linked below. If not finished in class, students must finish the activity for homework.
