Saturday Family Fun

Saturday, December 5th is William Ford Day at the Centennial Library! If you can come by at 12:00 pm, you can join in on the fun by listening to a story read by Mr. Higgins and getting your own library card! All students must be accompanied by an adult.

Picture Retake Day Tomorrow

Picture retakes are from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. for those students not photographed on the original day or for those students wanting to retake pictures received or to order pictures this time. If you are retaking pictures, please bring the old pictures back with you.

We hope that everyone had a nice and restful Thanksgiving! We are fully back into our routine where we left off! We have a very busy three weeks of school before winter break! Please continue to check your child’s folder every day for current information and upcoming events.  Today, their folder is full! Please look for the following:

  • Family Project Information
  • December Newsletter
  • This week’s homework
  • Updated letter/sound/sight word information

Of course, if you have any questions feel free to contact us!

Book Orders/Thanksgiving

  • Book Orders are due tomorrow! If you would like you can send in $1.00 for your child to order a book!
  • We are having a special Thanksgiving snack on Tuesday. If you are able to send in any of the following items please let your child’s teacher know:
    • pumpkin pie
    • whip cream
    • forks
    • plates
    • napkins

Kindergarten Parent Survey: Update! :)

Instead of printing and sending in the kindergarten survey, please just click on the link and fill it out! The survey is anonymous and you will not be identified.  The goal is to find out the experiences of your children have had before coming to kindergarten, as well as what Dearborn parents would like to have available for services and resources children.

Raz-Kids

This week your child will be bringing home directions to use a fantastic reading site called Raz-kids.  Please try and have your child use this resource at least 3 times a week.  Their username and password are included in the directions so be sure to keep them in a safe place!

Halloween Note

Dear Parents,

 

We will be having a Halloween celebration on Friday, October 30.   Please send in $2 and circle anything you are able to donate from the list below:

22 unfrosted cupcakes                                     22 Halloween Plates

 

22 Halloween Napkins                                      1 Halloween craft (for 20 kids)

                                                                               (see teacher for ideas if needed)

1 container of vanilla frosting                         20 brown paper lunch bags

 

1 bag of wiggly/googly eyes                                    1 Halloween craft (for 20 kids)

                                                                                      (see teacher for ideas if needed)

Halloween sprinkles (for cupcakes)

 

We will be having a school-wide parade in the afternoon.  Your child should bring in something to carry their candy in during the parade.  Please send trick-or-treat baskets and all donations by Monday, October 26.
