Dear Parents and Students,

I cannot believe how quickly this year has flown by! My due date, this weekend, will be here before we know it. I had planned on staying at school as long as I could, and my doctor has informed me that I have reached that point. I am preparing myself for how much I am going to miss seeing my lovely students as tomorrow (Wednesday) will be my last day with them. It is my sincere hope that I will be able to come back for graduation and celebrate all that the students have learned this year!

As my family prepares to welcome our new baby into our family, you too will be welcoming a new person into our classroom family. I would like to officially welcome Ms. Makim to our classroom. Ms. Makim is more than prepared to take over as she has been visiting our classroom since last Monday. Business will continue as usual and the transition should go very smoothly. If you need to reach Ms. Makim you can do so at makimn@dearbornschools.org.

What an exciting time for all of us! If for any reason you need me or would like to check in, please continue to contact me at hodgkic@dearbornschools.org. I will try to check it as often as possible. I won’t be available via Remind during my maternity leave.
