Rain, Rain…Go Away!

Tomorrow is our trip to the apple orchard! The forecast is showing rain in the afternoon, please dress your child appropriately. All students must wear their green kindergarten shirts and pack a lunch from home. Every lunch should include a sandwich and drink and be packed in bags that can be thrown away when they are finished. Please remember, no pop and no glass.

Chaperones please meet by the office at 9am.

Looking Ahead at Halloween

On Monday, October 31st we will be participating in a school-wide Halloween parade! All students may wear their costumes to school that day. Students will not be allowed to carry or have any play weapons of any kind.

We need help from our parents! Please let us know if you can help us create a themed area between Mrs. Hamm and Mrs. Sadek’s classroom that will be the Kindergarten trick or treat station. We won’t be able to make this work without your help, and as a bonus, it’s a great way to see all of the students in the building dressed up!

Please let us know if you can help. Thank you!

Also, as a reminder: tomorrow is half day. Dismissal for Kindergarten is 11:35, grades 1-5 at 11:45.

Looking Ahead

All homework is due Monday! Please remember to return field trip permission slips and money as soon as possible.

This week we learned the word I. Next week we will practice the word like.

Next week Friday we will have our first math test! We have been practicing the numbers 0-5 everyday. Next Friday your child will be tested on:

  • writing and recognizing numbers to 5
  • telling what number is one more up to 5
  • counting objects up to 5

Please continue to practice counting and writing numbers at home!
