Snack

Please be sure to send a healthy snack everyday with your child. Our snack grant has ended, the school will no longer be providing snack. Unhealthy snacks will not be allowed in school. Please see your child’s teacher if you would like some healthy snack ideas!

Have a great weekend!

Recess and Sunshine

Ahh, the sunshine feels so nice! We will be playing outside at least once every day now that the weather is cooperating. The children will also be going outside for gym starting in the next couple of weeks. The sun is H-O-T! With the hot sun comes the risk of sunburn. Please apply a layer of sunscreen to your child before school every day. Pay special attention to their nose and ears, they usually burn first!

Please also remember to dress your child in shoes appropriate for play. Open toe sandals and dress shoes are not appropriate for our playground. Gym shoes everyday are best!

Wash your hands!

Germs are making their way through Kindergarten. Please be sure to review with your child how important it is to wash their hands using soap and warm water! We teach them to sing the ABCs while they are washing so we know that they are washing more thoroughly.

Cases of pink eye have been in a few of our classrooms recently. If your child’s eye is red or crusty, please make a doctor appointment! It’s important to treat it early as it is very contagious.
