Good Hygiene Practices Help Everyone Stay Healthy!

Following these good hygiene practices can help you avoid the flu, colds and viruses.

  • Remain at home if you are sick, and avoid close contact with others who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your mouth, eyes or nose with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use hand sanitizer if soap and water are unavailable.
  • Cover your cough with a tissue or sleeve.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces.

Culture Night

William Ford’s Annual Culture Night will be held on Thursday, April 2nd, 4:30-6:00 – Mark your calendar!

Food, Music, Entertainment, Cultural Heritage, Pride & Tradition

Select Countries from Around the World will be featured, but EVERYONE will be celebrated!

Culture Night Kick-off is Wednesday, March 4th @ 9:00 with a whole school assembly.  Students and Staff are encouraged and  welcomed to dress in traditional or cultural clothing!  This year’s featured countries will be revealed, we will begin our month study to prepare for Culture Night on April 2nd, and much more!

Parent Meeting Today!

Join us today for our February PTA and Parent Meeting. We will meet in the cafeteria at 8:45 for coffee and light refreshments. The meeting will begin at 8:55. The meeting will include information and a presentation about the Read by Third Grade law and the PTA’s guest speaker, Tiffany Sweet from Zeal Credit Union. Tiffany will discuss programs for student savings’ accounts and more!

Friday, January 17th is a 1/2 day with an 11:35 dismissal for kindergarten.

Monday, January 20th is Dr. Martin Luther King Day.  No School for students.

Tuesday, January 21st is a 1/2 day with an 11:35 dismissal for kindergarten.

Today is William Ford’s Annual Holiday Sing-along in the lobby! It is also a Pajama Day or Holiday Colors Day! No cost to participate!

Students will assemble by Houses for the annual sing-along. See below.

Yellow House of Believers at 9:15

Blue House of Respect at 1:00

Green House of Achievers at 1:45

Red House of Fearless at 2:30.

We will be making gingerbread houses in the cafeteria at 1:30! You are more than welcome to join us! Please let your child’s teacher know first.

Annual Holiday Nights at William Ford from 5:30-7:00. Admission is only $2.00 for some holiday fun, activities, friends and SANTA!

Thursday:

Deck it out! Wear ALL your holiday items! Sweaters, hats, socks, necklaces, accessories, etc.). We will be having our party today!

Friday:

All Aboard! It’s time to ride the Polar Express! Wear your holiday/seasonal pajamas to school!
