Talking on the train

DAILY AGENDA:

  1. Wrote and shared responses to discussion question
  2. Reviewed class norms and signed norms agreement page
  3. Finished reading and annotating article on bus seat belts that was started yesterday
  4. Using the train strategy, students met with a partner to discuss their opposing opinions
  5. Students read for 10 minutes to begin determining their individual reading rates
  6. Dismissal countdown

HOMEWORK:

  1. Have parents/guardians fill out and sign norms agreement for ELA
