For this essay, the students are drafting, revising, and editing on the computer using Google Drive.  For work not completed in class, students are expected to complete it as homework so they are prepared for the next writing portion the following day.

At home, students can log into their district gmail account just as they log into the Chromebooks in class.  The user name is their student number @ dearbornschools.org.  Then they enter the password they created.

Once logged into their account, students select “Drive” from the Google menu.  Their essays have been saved and can be opened and worked on at home.  Google Drive automatically saves their work so that any updates done at home can then be retrieved the next day in class.

Final copies of this essay will be emailed to me instead of printing.
