Remote Learning Update May 26, 2020

Now we are really getting close to the end of the school year but it’s not over yet! Please make sure your child attends all of his or her scheduled meetings.
Math for this week is a review of Eureka Math lessons 7 – 20. At the end of the week the students will have the mid-module test. I am posting the review here, on MobyMax, on my class blog and in the iLearn class. Thursday morning I will post the answer key for the review. The test will be in the iLearn class, just like the last science and math quizzes the students have taken already.

The new science lesson video will be posted in MobyMax. The end of mystery quiz will be early next week.
Students need to have a rough draft for their imaginative narrative completed before the writing circle meetings tomorrow.
Reading and social studies lessons are assigned in MobyMax.

Remote Learning Update

Two really important reminders:

  1. The science and math quizzes should be completed in the iLearn class today before 3:30. As of yesterday, only 9 students have submitted their responses.
  2. Please check the meeting schedule so that your child can join the session at their scheduled time. I take attendance and am assessing student progress during these meetings.

New assignments are posted in MobyMax today.

The Social Studies unit test, “Our Democracy” is assigned. All students should complete the test before Friday. If the students do not do well on their first try, I may be able to reassign the lesson. Do not rush through the questions and use the study guide I provided.

Student math lessons are Eureka math module 5 lessons 19 – 21. The links to the videos are posted in MobyMax. Please send me pictures of your child’s completed practice.

There is no new science lesson for this week.

There will be no school on Friday, May 22 and on Monday, May 25 for the Memorial Day holiday. All assignments for the week should be completed before then.

Remote Learning Update

Good morning parents,
Beginning today students have a math quiz and a science quiz in the iLearn class. Students need to finish both of them before the end of the school day on Monday. Please don’t wait until 3:00 on Monday to start.
There are several students who are missing the scheduled meetings. I take attendance at these meetings and I am checking to see if the students are learning the content I am assigning. I am also putting grades in the grade book as a result of the meetings. Please check the schedule again, write down your child’s scheduled meeting times and remind them to join me for the sessions.
