Social Studies: Unit Test will be Monday, November 19! We will complete the discussion of regions tomorrow and be ready to review Friday.

Students received the Chess Club information today. Practice begins next week on Tuesday. If your child would like to participate, please complete the permission slip and bring it to the first practice on Tuesday, November 13 at 7:40 am.
ELA: students need to read and write one response in their reading response notebook.

Social Studies: Unit test on Wednesday, November 14. Study guide was sent home today! Students have access to all information on our Google Classroom.
Don’t forget, tomorrow is a half day for students! Dismissal is at 11:45.

Spelling: study words; test on Friday
Math: Lesson 14 corrections. Students received their checked homework. Their job is to find their mistakes by re-doing the problems and using the addition check. All corrections are to be completed on lined paper. The unit test will be on Thursday. The test review will come home tomorrow!

Math: Lesson 15 problems 1, 2, and 3
Social Studies: Quiz tomorrow. Know the 5 themes of geography and the location of the US. Students have a study guide!

Next week, October 22 -October 26, students can buy raffle tickets for $.25 each. The drawing will take place on Friday, October 26.
ELA: read at least 20 minutes and write a response in the Reading Response Notebook! I have collected the reading response notebooks and graded responses twice now. Several students are not following directions and have several missing assignments. Please check your child’s response notebook. Some students have no reading responses at all!
Math: no homework this evening
The PTA is sponsoring Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, October 30. Please volunteer to donate candy or pass out candy from your car. Sign up in the office.
ELA: students should be reading and writing one reading response each day. I am collecting and grading the reading response notebooks. Please make sure your child is keeping up with this every day as I pick sticks to determine which notebooks I collect.

This has been a quick week! Continue to check your child’s Reading Response Notebook. Students should be reading and writing a response every day.
IXL and Zearn are two programs that the students have access to at home. Logins and passwords are taped to the front inside page of the students’ planners. Students do not have math homework this weekend but they may always log in to either of those programs to practice.
