At Northwestern program, students start shooting on Day 1.

Every summer, WDHS sends two juniors to the National High School Institute program at Northwestern University. These students spend five weeks studying film and video with college professors and working professionals. You can read more about the program at this link. This summer’s program will run from June 28th to August 1st.

Students apply through the WDHS classes (Advanced Video and Advanced Movie Making). Applications will be distributed in October and will be due in late December. The exact dates are still being determined. The applications are blind and Mr. Rauscher is not involved in choosing the recipients. The application is a little involved, so expect to spend several afternoons or evenings completing it.
