Exciting new toys

Over the past few weeks the children have been learning about more toys in the classroom as well as outside.

The children have learned about and explored with hot wheel cars and tracks.  They have created long road tracks and have placed them in many different spots in the classroom.  Sometimes they are very long and stretch the entire length of the classroom, while other times they are over shelves and chairs to make ramps and hills.

Outside, we have started using balls and hula hoops.  The children have enjoyed kicking and throwing the balls.  They have been laying the hula hoops down on the ground and jumping from one to the other.

Adjusting to School

There was a bit more crying this week but it doesn’t last long.  The children do calm down and enjoy their time at school.  See the pictures below to see what the children are up to while at school.

First Week of School

The children have adjusted well to the first few days of school.  We have had some tears but they do not last long.  These first days we are learning all about being in school and about our classroom.  We are learning about the different areas to play in as well as the different toys we have in our classroom.

Here are some pictures from our first few days of school.
