Main Idea: Letters and Numbers
Literacy Activity (10 minutes): Water writing – get a small cup or bowl of water, have your child dip their finger into the water, then using their wet finger have them write on the table. Have your child write their name, letters, simple words, or sight words. (Send Mrs. Vasas a picture of the writing on the table)
Math Activity (10 minutes): Watch the video of Chicka Chicka 1.2.3 and have your child name the numbers along with the book. Have your child write numbers using water, like the literacy activity.
Play Activity/Work Time (1 hour or more):
Start (Plan): Ask your child “What would you like to do today?”
Play (Do): Allow your child to play for at least 1 hour of free play time with their toys (no screens-no TV, no tablets). It is important for your child to have time to be creative and use their imagination.
Clean-Up: Provide a warning before it is time for your child to clean up, so they can bring an end to their play. Then have them clean up, or help clean up, the toys they were playing with. It should not be your job to clean up after your child.
End (Review): Ask your child “What did you do today?”
*Mention what they told you at the start and see if they did do that or if they chose to do something different. It is ok if they change their mind and do something different.*
Extra Activity (10 minutes): Play the game we learned at our parent meeting. Roll the die with your child and move a game piece (a coin, a bottle cap, a toy) around the board until one piece gets to the end.

For Next Year
All students are enrolled for Kindergarten/Young 5 for next year. There is no need to do any paperwork for Kindergarten/Young 5, unless you have moved and need to change address. A new immunization record will be required, but that is not due until a later date.
If you have a 4 year old child, or know anyone with a 4 year old child, for Preschool next year, please complete the form in the link below to put your name on the list for next year. Paperwork can be added to the form but is not required. We will be collecting paperwork later, when it is safe to be together again. https://forms.gle/rBcaR3PkgcJ47TKS8
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns for next year.
