Main Idea: Going on a Lion Hunt
Literacy Activity (10 minutes): Listen to the story ‘Going on a Lion Hunt’ and move along to the song ‘Going on a Lion Hunt,’ then compare the story to the song. What is the same from the story to the song? What is different from the story to the song?

Math Activity (10 minutes): Go on a shape hunt around the house. Look at the picture below and see how many items you can find around your house (created by iCreate2educate). – Send me pictures of things they were able to find.
Play Activity/Work Time (1 hour or more):
Start (Plan): Ask your child “What would you like to do today?”
Play (Do): Allow your child to play for at least 1 hour of free play time with their toys (no screens-no TV, no tablets). It is important for your child to have time to be creative and use their imagination.
Clean-Up: Provide a warning before it is time for your child to clean up, so they can bring an end to their play. Then have them clean up, or help clean up, the toys they were playing with. It should not be your job to clean up after your child.
End (Review): Ask your child “What did you do today?”
*Mention what they told you at the start and see if they did do that or if they chose to do something different. It is ok if they change their mind and do something different.*
