Friday, December 6th

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

AP Psych wrapped up the unit on learning with a Socratic seminar discussion about the relationship between violent video games and observational learning. AP students have their unit test on Tuesday, December 10th.

Psychology classes have been learning about various theories of development. This week, we covered Erikson’s theory of psychosocial development and Kohlberg’s theory of moral development. These students have a development quiz coming up on Wednesday.

Sociology classes are learning about social structure and the social construction of reality. We learned about how concepts such as race are constructed and altered by members of a society. On Friday, we watched a documentary about a famous experiment in which a teacher divided her students based on eye color in order to help them understand racial discrimination.

Please continue to check Google Classroom for daily updates and materials. Have a great weekend!
