Homework tonight:

  1. Math PPS 13-14
  2. Read on Myon for at least 20 minutes- we are doing fantastic on MYON second graders! Don’t stop now though, I want to see everyone’s name entered for a chance to go to the cat and the hat tea party this Friday.

Dr. Suess Literacy Night

Who: To all Oakman Families

When: Monday, March 27th, 2017 from 3:55-5:30pm

Why: Our Family Literacy Night is your opportunity to share the joy of reading at school with your children. We invite you to participate as a family unit, in several activities during the course of the evening.

What to expect: There will be a variety of activities you and your family can choose from. Join the staff  for a super night of reading and writing activities!

-At all times children must be accompanied by an adult.

-There will be raffle tickets sold for $1.00 to win a basket full of surprises.

Pizza , cupcakes, baked goods and nachos will be sold at 5:15 by the PTA.
Sams Club will be here. You can buy a membership to this warehouse for $40 and use your Bridgecard to make purchases inside. No other warehouse let’s you do this so take advantage of this opportunity and sign up.

See you Monday at 3:55!!!!!

الى عائلات مدرسة اوكمن،

زمن الاحتفال: الاثنين في 27 اذار/مارس من الساعة 3:55 الى 5:30 مساءً

الهدف من هذا الاحتفال: الاستمتاع بالقراءة مع اولادكم من خلال ليلة القراءة في اوكمن لذلك ندعو الجميع الى الحضور مع عائلاتهم للمشاركة في العديد من النشاطات  

 

التكلفة: $1 للاشتراك في السحب.. يجب على الاهل اصطحاب الاولاد او شخص راشد.

 كما ستباع  البتزا, الحلويات, الكعك,  في الكافيتريا, وربح العديد من الكتب.    

يكنكم ايضاً  شراء عضوية في “مستودع  سامس” مقابل 40 دولارا واستخدام البريدجيكارد لشراء  ما تحتاجونه من هذا المستودع..
نأمل أن نراكم  يوم الاثنين في 3:55 !!!!!

Happy Friday:

It’s the end of the semester.  Report cards will be coming home next week.  I sent home a report yesterday of your child’s end of the unit social studies and science test scores.  Ask your child for it if you have not gotten it yet.

Homework:

  1. Read every day for at least 20 minutes.  We read over 35 hours on Myon this week!!!!! Let’s keep the momentum going 🙂
  2. Practice your math flash cards in your math bag.
  3. Next week’s spelling words are:

Homework tonight:

  1. Spelling activities are due tomorrow.  Have all 4 weekly activities ready to turn in tomorrow at the start of school.
  2. Practice counting money: We have been doing money story problems this week and some students are struggling because they are still having trouble counting coins and adding their value.  Homework is to count coins at home. Grab a handful of coins and count the value.  How much money do you have? Take some of the money away.  Now how much do you have? Do this until your child is successful 3 times in a row 🙂
  3. Read on Myon for 20 minutes.

Homework for today:

  1. Math “Falling for adding on a number line”. There is an instruction page to help students when they get stuck.  This can stay at home, just bring back the first homework page tomorrow.
  2. Read for 20 minutes on Myon OR out of your reading bag books.
  3. Complete a weekly spelling activity.  Remember the activities are due Thursday.

Lunch Change: Tomorrow’s lunch will be french toast sticks instead of blueberry pancakes.
