Homework tonight:

  1. Spelling Test tomorrow
  2. Complete homework page PPS 285-286.  A parent letter came home explaining what we learned today.  The math test is on Thursday. Practice the study guide that came home yesterday.
  3. Tomorrow is the clean up parade! Come ready to march 🙂

Oakman family in need of help

A Family Burned Out of Their Home.

Dear Oakman Parents,

A family lost their home this morning to a fire. They are in need of gently used furniture, clothing, dishes, everything!  They have one night free in a hotel and tomorrow they have no place to stay. The family had no home insurance.

They are looking for an apartment to rent and can pay up to $700 per month. Please put the word out and let’s help this family. If you don’t have furniture, consider making a donation so we can buy them supplies such as toothbrushes, soap, etc….

Due to the NWEA tests this week I did not post the spelling words because I wanted the students to focus on practicing their reading and math skills.  The words posted here are for the next spelling test which will be on Wednesday May 10, 2017.  The weekly spelling activities will be due next Tuesday.  The students started them today in class.

I just had it brought to my attention that the spelling words were not posted yet this week. I apologize for the oversight. My focus this week was having the students prepare for NWEA. Due to my error I will post the words tomorrow and students will have a week to study. The Spelling Test will be on Wednesday 5/10.
